The Syba SY-ENC50125 accepts up to eight 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA drives, each up to 8TB. Individual power switches let you spin down drives not in use. A smart fan with thermal sensor runs in auto or manual mode across three speed levels. Steel housing aids heat dissipation.

USB 3.2 10Gbps link caps real-world throughput

The external USB-C 3.2 connection runs at 10Gbps and supports UASP, but each drive remains limited by the SATA III 6Gbps internal interface. Total bandwidth is shared across all active bays, so simultaneous heavy transfers will not reach the port’s theoretical maximum. Backward compatible with USB 3.0 at 5Gbps.

No RAID or NAS functions built in

This unit presents every drive as a separate volume to the host; it cannot combine disks into arrays or serve network storage. Buyers who need hardware RAID, JBOD spanning, or NAS services must add a separate controller or software layer. Ideal for direct-attached multi-drive access and drive cloning workflows.
