The Synology RS1626xs+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built around an Intel Xeon D-1726 processor. It ships fully assembled with 32GB of DDR4 ECC memory and four 24TB enterprise drives pre-installed. 96TB Raw Capacity with Expansion Headroom
Four 24TB Synology Enterprise drives provide 96TB of raw storage out of the box. The four internal bays can be supplemented by a compatible Synology expansion unit to reach up to 16 drives total. Memory is configurable to 64GB, giving headroom for heavier virtualization or database workloads before the installed 32GB becomes a bottleneck.
Dual 10GbE and PCIe Gen4 Connectivity Limits
Two built-in 10GbE RJ-45 ports set the baseline network throughput for client access and replication traffic. A single PCIe Gen4 x8 slot allows one additional network or HBA card, so total 10GbE port count cannot exceed three without sacrificing the expansion slot. The dedicated 1GbE management port is restricted to out-of-band administration only.
