Check the front-panel LEDs — Power should stay solid, each of the four HDD LEDs should show activity, and both 10GbE LAN indicators should light when cables are connected. DSM’s web interface will also report CPU, memory and drive health once you log in.

What ships with the unit and what must I purchase separately?
