The Synology RS3626xs is a 12-bay rackmount NAS populated with twelve 24TB enterprise drives for 288TB of raw capacity. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 3.2TB dual-drive cache ready for demanding business workloads such as virtualization, surveillance and multi-site collaboration. The unit arrives fully assembled and tested so it can be racked and commissioned without additional integration effort. Buyers who need a smaller footprint or fewer drive bays will not match this density in a single 2U chassis.

Thermals and power in normal use

Dual redundant power supplies accept 100-240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz and protect service continuity if one module fails. The system is rated for continuous operation between 0°C and 35°C with humidity from 8% to 80% RH. Two 10GbE RJ-45 ports and a dedicated out-of-band management port handle network traffic without adding external adapters that increase heat load. Builders who require passive cooling or operation above 35°C cannot meet those conditions with this hardware.

What the bundled kit changes

The package includes the main unit, an accessory pack, two C13-to-C14 power cords and a front cover so the rack installation is complete out of the box. Pre-installed Synology enterprise drives and cache modules eliminate drive-matching guesswork and firmware mismatch risk. Two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots remain open for future 10GbE, 25GbE or Fibre Channel expansion as requirements evolve. Administrators who expect tool-less drive trays or hot-swap cache bays not described in the specifications will not find them here.
