The Synology RS3626xs is a 2U rackmount network-attached storage server built for businesses that need high-capacity, centralised file storage and data protection. It ships fully assembled with twelve 24 TB enterprise drives providing 288 TB of raw capacity, plus 32 GB of DDR4 ECC memory and a 1.6 TB SSD cache for accelerated workloads. The Intel Xeon D-1726 six-core processor handles virtualization, surveillance and multi-site collaboration tasks.
288 TB raw capacity with 1.6 TB cache
Twelve 3.5-inch SATA drives deliver 288 TB of storage headroom for large file repositories, backups and media archives. The included 1.6 TB enterprise SSD cache (2 × 800 GB) absorbs frequent random reads and write bursts, keeping latency low for databases and virtual machines. When the drive bays are full, capacity can only grow by replacing drives with larger models or adding an external expansion unit.
Dual redundant supplies in 0–35 °C range
Redundant power supplies protect uptime if one unit fails, drawing 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. The chassis operates between 0 °C and 35 °C with humidity from 8 % to 80 % RH, and front-panel LEDs show power, drive and network status at a glance. Fan noise scales with load but remains within typical rack-environment limits for a 2U server.
