The Synology RS3626xs is a 2U enterprise NAS with twelve drive bays, a 6-core Xeon D-1726 processor and 8 GB DDR4 ECC memory. It arrives fully assembled and tested with 240 TB of raw storage across twelve 20 TB enterprise drives plus 800 GB of cache on two 400 GB modules. The platform targets businesses that need centralised file storage, virtualisation, backup and surveillance capacity in a single rackmount unit.

Check rack space, power and network before ordering

The chassis measures 88 mm high, 482 mm wide and 724 mm deep and weighs 14.5 kg, so verify your rack has 2U clearance and adequate depth. Dual C13 inlets require two PDU circuits for full redundancy across the 100-240 VAC range. Two onboard 10GbE RJ-45 ports and a dedicated out-of-band management port need matching switch ports and cabling. Operating limits are 0 °C to 35 °C at 8 % to 80 % relative humidity.

Two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots

Twelve 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA bays are populated with the included enterprise drives, leaving no empty bays for immediate growth. Two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots accept compatible 10GbE, 25GbE or Fibre Channel adapters and additional SSD caching hardware when workloads demand more throughput. Memory can be increased from the installed 8 GB up to 48 GB using supported DDR4 ECC modules. The dedicated management LAN keeps remote administration separate from production traffic.
