It ships with 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory and four drive bays that accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. The unit arrives fully assembled and tested with four 16 TB Synology Plus NAS drives providing 64 TB of raw capacity plus 1.6 TB of enterprise cache on two 800 GB modules. It targets growing businesses that need dependable file services at remote sites.

Thermal range 0 °C to 35 °C with four 1 GbE ports

Operating temperature is rated from 0 °C to 35 °C at 5 % to 95 % relative humidity. Power input accepts 100 VAC to 240 VAC at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Four integrated RJ-45 ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps and support Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. Under Synology test conditions the system delivers more than 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write throughput across those interfaces.

Bundled drives and cache accelerate file workloads

The package includes four 16 TB Synology Plus NAS drives and two 800 GB Synology Enterprise cache modules pre-installed, so the array is ready for volume creation on first boot. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for external backup targets or peripheral connectivity. A PCIe Gen 3 slot remains open for adding a compatible 10 GbE or 25 GbE adapter when network demands increase. Management is handled through the web-based DSM interface with DHCP client support.
