The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount NAS powered by a 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor with 8 GB of DDR4 ECC memory installed. It ships fully assembled and tested with four 8 TB Synology Plus NAS drives for 32 TB of raw capacity. The unit targets edge locations, remote offices and growing business storage environments.

Four drive bays and PCIe expansion for network

Four 3.5-inch SATA drive bays hold the included drives and accept compatible 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. Four integrated 1 GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for load balancing and failover. A PCIe Gen3 slot allows a compatible 10 GbE or 25 GbE adapter to be added when bandwidth needs increase. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide direct-attached peripheral connectivity.

Sustained sequential throughput beyond 1 GB/s

Under Synology test conditions the RS826+ delivers more than 2000 MB/s sequential read and 1300 MB/s sequential write, maintaining those rates across extended transfers rather than only in short bursts. The AMD Ryzen V1500B processor and DDR4 ECC memory keep parity calculations and file-system operations steady during continuous workloads. Operating temperature range is 0 °C to 35 °C.
