The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built around a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz with 8GB of DDR4 memory. Four hot-swappable bays come populated with four 8TB Synology Plus drives for 32TB of raw capacity. Four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide connectivity for small business workloads.

Pre-installed cache and drives accelerate storage

The unit ships with 1.6TB of Synology Enterprise cache across two 800GB SSDs, reducing latency and improving IOPS on the included hard-drive array. All components are assembled and tested before delivery so the system is ready for deployment without additional drive installation or cache configuration steps.

Expansion limited to one RX426 unit

Capacity can grow by attaching one RX426 expansion unit, raising the bay count to eight and raw storage to 192TB with supported 24TB drives. A single PCIe Gen3 slot accepts one compatible 10GbE, 25GbE or M.2 adapter, so only one high-speed upgrade can be active at a time.
