Compact 1U rackmount NAS for edge deployments

The Synology RS826RP+ is a 4-bay rackmount NAS built for edge deployments, branch offices, and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled and tested with 32GB DDR4 RAM, a 2-port 25GbE adapter, and four 20TB Synology Plus drives for 80TB raw capacity. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor at 2.2 GHz powers the unit.

Four hot-swappable bays and PCIe expansion

Four hot-swappable drive bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. Front-access trays allow drive changes without removing the chassis from the rack. A PCIe Gen3 slot supports additional 10GbE or 25GbE adapters, an M.2 SSD adapter, or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card. An optional RX426 expansion unit adds four more bays.

Redundant power and quiet operation

Dual redundant power supplies operate on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz for continuous uptime. The system runs within a 0°C to 35°C temperature range and 5-95% relative humidity. Four 1GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for bandwidth scaling and automatic failover. Sequential read and write performance exceeds 2,000 and 1,300 MB/s respectively.
