The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built for edge deployments, branch offices, and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled and tested with 4GB of DDR4 memory, a 2-port 25GbE adapter, and four 4TB Synology Plus drives providing 16TB of raw capacity. The quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor runs at 2.2 GHz.

Integration with Expansion and PCIe Options

Four hot-swappable bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. One Synology RX426 expansion unit can be connected to grow the system to eight bays and up to 192TB of raw storage using supported 24TB drives. A PCIe Gen3 slot allows adding a 10GbE or 25GbE adapter, an M.2 SSD adapter, or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card. Compatible SSDs can be used for caching to improve IOPS on HDD arrays.

Thermal Range and Power Input

The unit operates between 0°C and 35°C with humidity from 5% to 95% relative humidity. It draws power from a 100-240 VAC 50/60Hz supply. Four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for bandwidth increases, load balancing, and automatic network failover.
