It ships fully assembled with 8GB of DDR4 memory and four 20TB Synology Plus drives for 80TB of raw capacity. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz drives the system.

Four 1GbE Ports and PCIe Gen3 Expansion Limits

Network connectivity relies on four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports that support link aggregation and automatic failover. Throughput is bounded by the 1GbE interface unless a compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapter is added through the single PCIe Gen3 expansion slot. That same slot also accepts an M.2 SSD adapter or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card for caching or faster networking.

Hot-Swap Bays and Rackmount Build Quality

The 1U chassis measures 44 mm × 480 mm × 492.6 mm and weighs 8.0 kg, fitting standard 19-inch racks. Four hot-swappable bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs for tool-less drive changes. One Synology RX426 expansion unit can be attached to reach eight bays and 192 TB raw capacity with supported 24 TB drives. Front LEDs show power, drive and network status.
