It ships fully assembled and tested with four drives installed. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz powers the system alongside 4GB of DDR4 memory.

Four hot-swappable bays

The unit provides four hot-swappable drive bays that accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. This configuration includes four 20TB Synology Plus NAS drives for 80TB of raw capacity. Sequential read performance exceeds 2,000 MB/s and write performance exceeds 1,300 MB/s under tested conditions.

Dual 10GbE networking and PCIe expansion for growth

Two integrated 10GbE 10GBASE-T ports and four 1GbE RJ-45 ports support link aggregation and automatic failover. A PCIe Gen3 slot accepts compatible 10GbE, 25GbE, or M.2 SSD adapters. One RX426 expansion unit can be attached to double bay count and reach up to 192TB of raw storage with supported drives.
