The drive relies on host memory buffer caching rather than onboard DRAM, making it a streamlined upgrade for consumer desktops and laptops.
The 512GB capacity provides room for an operating system, core applications and a selection of current game titles. Sequential reads reach up to 5000 MBps and writes up to 3500 MBps, keeping load times short for everyday workloads. Sustained heavy writes will eventually hit the SLC cache limit, after which write performance drops toward native TLC speeds. The 325TB terabytes written rating sets the practical lifespan for typical consumer write patterns.
An ultra-thin patented graphene heat-sink spreads heat across the controller and memory without adding bulk, allowing installation in tight laptop bays or a PS5 expansion slot. The drive is rated for 0°C to 70°C operating temperature and 90 percent humidity at 40°C, while the controller throttles only under prolonged maximum throughput.
