The TeKit NTRASC0001CH adds a 7.1-channel audio interface to any computer with a free USB Type-A port. It provides a stereo output jack and a mono microphone input jack for headsets or speakers. The device is USB bus-powered and requires no external supply. It suits users who need a compact external sound solution.

USB 2.0 full-speed interface limits

The adapter runs at USB 2.0 full-speed (12 Mbps) and follows USB Audio Device Class 1.0 and HID Class 1.1 specifications. It does not support higher USB speeds or newer audio class revisions. Virtual 7.1 surround is delivered through included Xear 3D software rather than discrete hardware channels. Audio quality is constrained by the USB 2.0 bandwidth.

The Xear 3D simulation software is supplied for Windows XP and Vista only. No CD driver is included.
