Whole-home mesh coverage

The TP-Link Deco M5 system replaces a traditional router and extender with three units that form a single mesh network. It covers homes up to 5500 square feet and supports more than 100 connected devices. Dual-band Wi-Fi uses 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards. The Deco app guides setup in minutes and works with Android 4.4 or later and iOS 9.0 or later.

Included hardware and security services

Each unit provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired backhaul or wired clients, giving six ports total across the pack. The box contains three power supplies and one Ethernet cable. A free lifetime subscription to TP-Link HomeCare adds antivirus protection, parental controls and quality-of-service prioritisation. Voice control via Alexa is also supported.
