The TP-Link EAP650-Outdoor is a Wi-Fi 6 wireless access point built for outdoor environments. It delivers dual-band connectivity for businesses and homes needing reliable coverage across gardens, pools, car parks or campus grounds. The IP67-rated enclosure resists dust, water and harsh weather for permanent exterior mounting. It integrates with the Omada SDN platform for centralised cloud or local management.

AX3000 Dual-Band Throughput

The decisive specification is the combined wireless rate of up to 3.0 Gbps, split as 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. A 160 MHz channel width (HE160) doubles peak single-stream throughput when client devices support it. OFDMA and MU-MIMO serve multiple users simultaneously, keeping latency low on busy networks. The single Gigabit Ethernet port carries all traffic and accepts 802.3at PoE+ or 48 V passive PoE.

Capacity for 250+ Clients

The access point supports over 250 concurrent users across up to 16 SSIDs, eight per band, with VLAN mapping for traffic separation. Seamless roaming and Omada Mesh allow devices to move between units without dropping connections, extending coverage wirelessly where cabling is impractical. Transmit power follows CE and FCC limits, so very long-range point-to-point links may need directional antennas not included here.
