The Tripp Lite B093-008-2E4U-M is an 8-port console server built for administrators who manage routers, UPS units and other serial-based network gear from a single secure gateway. A built-in V.92 modem adds out-of-band dial-up access when the primary network is unreachable. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports provide a primary link and automatic failover for continuous remote sessions.

Sustained management load

Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports keep the management path alive during extended maintenance windows by failing over automatically if the primary link drops. The internal modem remains on standby for out-of-band connectivity without relying on the production network. An external 12 V 1.25 A supply powers the unit continuously across the 100-240 V AC input range.

Twisted-pair and serial limits

Four RJ-45 network ports operate at 1000Base-X over standard twisted-pair cabling designed for Cat5e/6 patch leads when connecting to Cisco devices.
