This Velztorm Pilum desktop is built around an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 4.4 GHz boost and 32 MB of L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD plus a 1 TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

The 8-core Ryzen 7 3700X replaces earlier 4-core or 6-core CPUs, adding 16 threads for heavier multitasking and content creation. The GTX 1050 Ti steps up from integrated graphics or entry-level discrete cards, bringing 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and DirectX 12 support. The jump is worth it when you need both stronger multi-threaded CPU performance and a dedicated GPU for 1080p gaming.
