The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-assembled gaming desktop built around an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 4.4 GHz boost. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB SATA SSD paired with a 2 TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. Windows 10 Pro is installed and the 750 W power supply drives the system.

Storage interface limit

The solid-state drive uses a SATA interface, so its sequential read and write speeds are bounded by that standard rather than by faster protocols. The mechanical drive adds capacity for large libraries but operates at conventional hard-drive throughput. Together they provide a boot drive and a bulk store without exceeding the SATA ceiling.

Graphics memory ceiling
