The Realtek controller maintains 2.5 gigabit links under continuous load thanks to IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3ab compliance and 802.1Q VLAN tagging. Driver discs are provided for legacy operating systems back to Windows 98SE. Environments that demand 10 gigabit or higher sustained rates will exceed the card's rated speed.
