The Wavlink WL-NWP004 adds a single RJ45 port capable of 10Gbps Ethernet to a desktop PC. It uses the AQC113C-B controller and connects through a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface that fits x4, x8 or x16 slots. Both a standard bracket and a low-profile bracket are included for different case heights. Windows 11, Windows 10 and Linux 3.10 or newer are supported.

Sustained throughput and thermals

The card negotiates 10000, 5000, 2500, 1000, 100 or 10Mbps links automatically, so it maintains the highest rate the cabling and switch allow. An on-board heatsink dissipates heat from the controller during continuous heavy transfers, helping to keep performance stable over long sessions.
