The HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus v2 is a compact tower server built for small businesses that need on-premises compute and storage. It ships with a Xeon E-2314 four-core processor running at 2.8 GHz with turbo up to 4.5 GHz and 32 GB of DDR4 memory. The chassis holds four 3.5-inch drive bays populated with 8 TB SATA drives for 32 TB of raw capacity. Windows Server 2022 Essentials media is included for environments with up to 25 users and 50 devices.

SATA storage and 1 GbE network limits

Four SATA III 6 Gb/s links feed the drive array, so sustained throughput is bounded by the SATA interface rather than the controller. The embedded four-port 1 GbE controller caps network transfers at gigabit speeds, which can become a bottleneck when moving large datasets across the LAN. The single power supply provides no redundancy, so a power-unit failure takes the whole system offline. VROC RAID management runs on the CPU, adding a small compute overhead during rebuilds.

Field installation of drives and memory

Drives and memory modules are packaged separately and must be installed before first boot, requiring the front bezel to be removed and the drive trays to be populated. The bezel lock and Kensington slot add physical security but make repeated access slower. iLO remote management allows headless configuration once the network is cabled, yet initial BIOS and RAID setup still needs a local monitor and keyboard. Builders who need redundant power or 10 GbE connectivity out of the box should look elsewhere.
