This OWC kit delivers 128GB of DDR5 ECC Registered memory as two 64GB modules. It is built for HP Cray XD220v, XD225v, XD295v and XD670 servers that require registered DIMMs with error correction. Standard desktop boards cannot use this memory.

288-pin DDR5 4800 Registered modules

Each module uses the 288-pin DDR5 form factor and runs at 4800 MT/s with CL40 latency at 1.1V. The registered design adds a buffer that reduces electrical load on the server memory controller, allowing higher capacities per channel. It cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs in the same system.

2Rx4 64GB density per DIMM

The dual-rank 2Rx4 organisation provides 64GB on a single stick, letting the supported HP Cray platforms reach 128GB with just two slots. This density suits virtualisation, large databases and memory-heavy HPC workloads. Systems needing more than 128GB per channel or unbuffered memory will require a different module type.
