Four PoE ports on one card

The StarTech ST4000PEXPSE adds four Gigabit Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express slot. Each port complies with IEEE 802.3at Type 1 and Type 2 standards and can deliver up to 48V and 25.5 Watts to connected devices such as IP cameras or wireless access points.

Built-in power connectors remove the need

The card draws PoE power directly from the system through a SATA connector and an LP4 Molex connector, so no separate power supply or mid-span injector is required. A driver disc and instruction manual are included for installation on supported operating systems.

25.5 Watts per port decides the device budget

The maximum output of 25.5 Watts per port determines which powered devices can be used; hardware that demands more power per port will not operate correctly. Builders who need higher per-port power or more than four PoE connections must choose a different solution.
