1U dual Xeon server for dense compute

The Supermicro SYS-6018U-TR4T+ is a 1U rackmount server with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with 12 cores. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots. A MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides eight SAS 12 Gb/s ports with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Four 3.5-inch hot-plug trays accept SATA or SAS drives.

Suits virtualization and HPC clusters.

This platform fits virtualization hosts, high-performance computing nodes and cloud infrastructure that need dual-socket density in 1U. The Matrox G200 graphics with 8 MB video memory only supports basic console output, so buyers who need GPU acceleration for AI, rendering or VDI should look elsewhere. The four 10GBase-T ports and dedicated IPMI 2.0 LAN give strong remote management and network throughput.

Four 3.5-inch hot-plug trays limit raw capacity

Only four 3.5-inch drive bays are provided, which caps the maximum number of spinning disks or SATA SSDs you can install internally. The 9361-8i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across those bays. If your workload requires more than four large-capacity drives without external enclosures, this chassis will not meet the need.
