U.2 to M.2 NVME SATA Adapter

This Vszerda adapter connects an M.2 SSD to a U.2 SFF-8639 port so the drive can replace a 2.5 inch HDD. It accepts M.2 modules in 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230 lengths with key B or B+M. The board fits internally through the 68 pin U.2 interface and works with Windows 10 or Linux Kernel 3.16.

Build Integration

The converter plugs into a free U.2 SFF-8639 male connector on the motherboard or backplane and provides dual 67 pin M.2 NGFF slots. It supports double-sided assembled modules and requires no extra power cables beyond the U.2 connection. This lets you reuse an existing U.2 bay for a compact M.2 drive.

Capacity and Headroom

One M.2 PCIe SSD or one M.2 SATA SSD can be installed at a time, covering the listed form factors up to 2280. The adapter does not support simultaneous dual-drive operation or drives longer than 2280. Systems without a U.2 SFF-8639 interface cannot use this converter.
