Dual Xeon E5-2660 v4 14-core server

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack-mount server built around two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors. Each CPU runs at 2.0 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency and provides 14 cores for multi-threaded workloads. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. It targets small offices and remote sites that need a single, self-contained platform for collaboration, mail, file, print and web serving workloads.

8-bay 3.5-inch SATA storage with PERC H730

Eight 3.5-inch drive bays come populated with 4 TB 7.2 K SATA hard drives connected to a Dell PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode, freeing the host CPUs from parity calculations. Twelve DIMM slots in total allow expansion up to 384 GB when additional memory is required. Dual embedded 1 GbE ports from the Broadcom 5720 LOM and iDRAC 8 Express remote management are integrated on the motherboard.

Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies

Two hot-swap 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide full redundancy without shutting down the server. The 5U chassis uses internal airflow to cool both processors, memory and the eight spinning drives under typical office loads. iDRAC 8 Express enables remote power cycling and sensor monitoring so administrators can respond to thermal events without physical access. A front bezel is included; plastic feet are not supplied.
