Compact High-Voltage Module for Laboratory Use

This Analog Technologies module converts a low-voltage DC input into a regulated negative high-voltage output up to 6 kV with a maximum current of 1 mA. It is intended for engineers and researchers building or servicing equipment such as X-ray sources, spectroscopy instruments, electrospinning rigs or semiconductor process tools where a compact, programmable HV bias is required.

Stable Output Under Continuous Operation

The unit accepts a 24 V supply drawing between 80 mA and 450 mA depending on load, and delivers 0 to -6 kV proportional to a 0 to 5 V control signal with a 5 V reference accurate to ±0.05 V. Full-span modulation and electronic shutdown allow the output to be varied or disabled instantly without interrupting the input power, supporting long runs in analytical or deposition systems.

PCB-Mount Installation With Simple Control Wiring

The converter is designed for direct board-level integration using the supplied pin-out for input power, control voltage, reference and ground connections. Correct polarity on the 24 V rail and the control signal is essential; reversing either can damage the internal regulation stage. No external high-voltage cabling is included, so the builder must provide suitably rated leads and maintain clearance distances appropriate for 6 kV operation.
