It uses an LSI SandForce controller customized for Kingston and delivers maximum sequential read and write speeds of 450 MB/s. The drive is designed for consumer notebooks and desktops that accept a 7mm or 9.5mm height drive.

This SSD replaces a mechanical 7200RPM hard drive and is rated as up to 10x faster in typical use. The jump is worth it when the system feels sluggish during boot, application launch or file copy because the drive has no moving parts and offers 85,000 IOPS random read and 43,000 IOPS random write.
