Eight 32 GB DDR4 2400 ECC load-reduced DIMMs totalling 256 GB for Dell PowerEdge 13th Gen rack servers
Capacity 256GB (8 x 32GB)
Speed DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200)
This 256GB kit contains eight 32GB DDR4-2400 ECC Load Reduced DIMMs built for Dell PowerEdge 13th Generation rack servers. It targets administrators who need maximum registered capacity in R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930 platforms. The modules run at 1.2V with CL17 latency and quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation. Buyers who need non-ECC unbuffered memory for desktops or laptops cannot use this kit.
The kit ships as eight identical 32GB modules so every channel receives the same quad-rank Load Reduced DIMM. Matching ECC type and rank across all slots prevents the instability that occurs when Load Reduced and Registered modules are mixed. Speed mixing is supported but the system will clock down to the slowest installed module. No software, heat spreaders or additional accessories are included in the package.
Each module uses the standard 288-pin DDR4 DIMM interface with no heat spreader, allowing dense side-by-side population in Dell PowerEdge 13th Generation rack chassis. The Load Reduced architecture reduces electrical load on the memory bus, enabling the full 256GB capacity across all supported R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930 servers. Systems that require Registered ECC instead of Load Reduced ECC will not accept these modules.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The kit contains eight matched 32 GB modules; replacing a single module with a different rank or ECC type would break compatibility, so a full-kit swap is the safest path.
The server's memory controller caps total capacity and rank count per channel; with 4Rx4 modules you reach the rank limit before the slot count, so population rules in the R730 manual set the practical ceiling.
Operating at 1.2 V without heat spreaders, each 32 GB LRDIMM draws modest power; the R730's directed airflow across the DIMM slots keeps temperatures within spec during continuous operation.
