Two Intel Xeon Gold 6138 processors deliver 40 cores total with a 27.5 MB cache each, running at a base frequency of 2.0 GHz. This CPU configuration is the single specification that determines whether the blade matches your thread-count and per-core performance requirements. Systems that require a different core count, clock speed or processor generation will not be satisfied by this part.

Sustained load with 48 GB DDR4 and SAS storage

The installed 48 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and two 1.8 TB SAS hard drives feed the CPUs through a PERC H330 controller. Under continuous multi-threaded workloads the memory capacity and spinning-media throughput define how long the node can run without paging or I/O bottlenecks. Workloads needing larger memory footprints or all-flash latency will require a different configuration.
