DELL
1U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon CPUs, 32GB DDR4, H330 RAID controller and ten 2.5-inch hot-plug bays
Installed Memory Size 32GB
The Dell PowerEdge R630 is a 1U rack-mount server fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 V3 processors. Each CPU provides ten cores at 2.3 GHz, delivering 40 threads when hyper-threading is enabled. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory across 24 DIMM slots and includes a PERC H330 RAID controller. It is built for organisations that need dense compute in a single rack unit.
Dual 750 W hot-swap power supplies feed the platform redundantly, so a single supply failure does not interrupt operation. The 10-bay 2.5-inch chassis supports SAS or SATA drives that the H330 controller can arrange in RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 or 60. PCIe 3.0 slots and a dedicated PERC slot allow additional I/O cards without reducing drive count. iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller provides out-of-band monitoring during continuous operation.
The H330 controller operates at 12 Gbps SAS speed, which caps the throughput of any attached SAS or SATA device. Memory runs at up to 2400 MT/s DDR4, limited by the processor memory controller rather than the DIMM rating. Network connectivity defaults to four 1 GbE ports on the daughter card, with optional 10 GbE configurations available. The Matrox G200 video output is intended for management console use only.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The 1U chassis uses high-speed fans to cool two 10-core processors and 32GB DDR4; expect noticeable airflow noise in a quiet room, typical for dense rack servers.
The unit ships without 2.5-inch hot-plug trays or SAS/SATA cables; you need Dell-compatible caddies for each SSD or HDD you install.
Yes, PCIe 3.0 slots are backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 cards; they will operate at 2.0 speeds while leaving bandwidth headroom for newer peripherals.
