DELL
2U rack server with dual 14-core Xeon processors at 2.4 GHz, 128 GB DDR4 memory, eight 800 GB SATA SSDs on a PERC H730 controller, quad-port 1 GbE and 10 GbE networking.
The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server built for midsize and large enterprise workloads such as data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure and high-performance computing nodes. Dual Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors deliver 28 cores at 2.4 GHz with 3.3 GHz turbo, while 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory supports memory-intensive applications. Eight 800 GB SATA SSDs and a PERC H730 controller provide fast, redundant storage for databases and virtual machines.
Ready Rails allow the 2U chassis to slide into a standard rack without tools, and the front bezel snaps on afterwards. Both 750 W platinum power supplies are hot-swappable, so a failed unit can be replaced without downtime. The eight 2.5-inch drive bays are also hot-swap, letting you exchange SSDs while the server runs. Cable routing through the rear keeps airflow clean, but the deep chassis requires a rack with sufficient depth clearance.
The Intel C610 chipset and 24 DIMM slots support up to 1.5 TB of DDR4 registered ECC memory, so the installed 128 GB can grow substantially for expanding workloads. If your application demands more than 1.5 TB, this platform cannot accommodate it and a different server generation would be required. The PERC H730 handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, giving flexibility for performance or redundancy without changing the controller.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
During POST the controller BIOS will display the virtual disk configuration and drive health; once the OS loads, the OpenManage Server Administrator tool shows RAID level, rebuild status and SMART data for every SSD.
The server ships with dual Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPUs, 128GB DDR4 ECC memory, PERC H730 1GB controller, eight 800GB SATA SSDs, X520/I350 quad-port network card, iDRAC8 Enterprise, two 750W PSUs, rails and bezel; operating system licences and additional drives or memory are not included.
The board has 24 DIMM slots and eight 16GB modules are already installed; add registered ECC DDR4 if your workloads need more than 128GB, otherwise the factory configuration is ready to run.
