This server suits archives, backup targets and dense storage clusters that can operate within one processor and 16 GB of RAM. Buyers who require dual-CPU performance, more than 16 GB of installed memory, or GPU acceleration for compute workloads should look elsewhere. The six PCIe 3.0 slots allow add-in cards, but the single-socket layout limits total memory to 1536 GB and caps processing threads at six.
