HP
1U rack server with dual Xeon E5-2623 v3 CPUs, 16GB DDR4, two 600GB 15K SAS drives and H240 RAID controller
Struck-through versions exist but are not stocked here.
The HP ProLiant DL160 Gen9 fits a dual Xeon E5-2623 v3 configuration into a single rack unit. Two quad-core processors running at 3 GHz deliver eight physical cores and sixteen threads. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory occupy two of the sixteen available DIMM slots. A Smart HBA H240 controller manages storage through SAS and SATA interfaces with RAID 0, 1 and 5 support.
This server suits environments that need high core density in minimal rack space, such as virtualization hosts or high-performance computing nodes. The eight drive bays accept 2.5-inch SAS drives for local storage redundancy. Buyers who need more than sixteen gigabytes of installed memory should plan to populate additional DIMM slots immediately. Workloads requiring GPU acceleration will not benefit from the integrated Matrox G200 graphics.
The included 600 GB 15 000 RPM SAS drives provide fast sequential throughput for operating systems and active datasets. Eight small-form-factor bays allow expansion up to the chassis limit. Memory capacity scales to 1 TB across sixteen slots using 64 GB DDR4 modules at up to 2400 MT/s. The 550 W redundant power supplies support both processors and a full complement of drives and memory.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The 1U chassis is designed for a standard four-post rack; you must supply compatible sliding rails or a fixed shelf that match the rack's depth.
The H240 supports 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA, so any SAS or SATA drive that meets those link speeds will be detected and can be configured in RAID 0, 1 or 5.
During POST the system will display two CPUs and 16GB total; you can also confirm the counts in the iLO interface or the OS device manager once booted.
