The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack server built for space-constrained environments. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor running at 2.4 GHz and 4 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. Two 1 TB 7.2K SATA drives and dual 500 W redundant hot-swap power supplies are included. The B140i controller provides software RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA devices.
This configuration fits organisations that need a compact, redundant platform for file, print or light virtualisation tasks. The single CPU and 4 GB base memory limit heavy database or high-density virtualisation workloads. Buyers who require SAS connectivity or hardware RAID must add a dedicated controller. The Matrox G200 graphics engine supports only basic management console output.
The onboard B140i controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 exclusively on SATA drives. It does not support SAS or other interfaces. Eight SFF bays allow up to eight 2.5-inch drives. Memory can scale to 3 TB across 24 DDR4 slots when a second processor is installed. Maximum processor count is two.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The server ships with one Xeon E5-2620 v3 processor, 4GB DDR4, two 1TB 7.2K 2.5'' SATA drives in trays, the B140i software RAID controller, Matrox G200 graphics, and two 500W redundant power supplies. No operating system, rails, extra memory or additional drives are included.
The unit arrives with one E5-2620 v3 installed and supports a second processor in the empty socket; adding the second CPU doubles the core count to 12 and unlocks the remaining 12 DIMM slots for a total of 24 slots.
The Xeon E5-2620 v3 runs at a base frequency of 2.4 GHz across its six cores and can use Turbo Boost to raise clocks when thermal headroom allows, so sustained throughput depends on cooling and the number of active threads.
