HP
1U rack server with one eight-core 2.6 GHz Xeon, 32 GB DDR4, H240ar RAID and four 3.5-inch drive bays
HDD None
The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack server built for space-constrained data centres. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 eight-core processor running at 2.6 GHz and 32 GB of DDR4 memory. The Smart HBA H240ar controller provides 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA RAID across levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Two redundant 500 W hot-swap power supplies keep the platform running. No operating system is included.
This server suits workloads that need up to 36 total cores across two sockets and up to 3 TB of DDR4 across 24 DIMM slots. The four LFF drive bays accept 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives for bulk storage. Buyers who want the full 3 TB memory ceiling should plan to add a second processor and populate the remaining slots. The Matrox G200 graphics with 16 MB video memory is for management only and does not support GPU compute or display workloads.
Storage capacity is determined by the four large-form-factor bays and the Smart HBA H240ar controller. The controller handles 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA drives with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. No drives are installed, so you must supply your own 3.5-inch media. The embedded 1 Gb Ethernet 4-port 331i adapter handles network connectivity.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Maximum memory capacity is 32GB with DDR4 modules running up to 2400MT/s, actual speed depends on the installed Xeon processor capability.
Redundant hot-swap 500W units share load, reducing per-unit stress and fan speed while maintaining cooling in the 1U chassis.
The server includes four drive trays with screws but no drives; you provide 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives for RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60.
