LORDWORLD
An 80×62 long-wave IR thermal camera module with a 45° field of view and 40-pin GPIO header for Raspberry Pi development boards
The LORDWORLD Long Wave IR Thermal Imaging Camera Module provides an 80×62 pixel infrared array with a 45° field of view. It connects directly to Raspberry Pi boards through a 40PIN GPIO header and is intended for makers, researchers and engineers building thermal sensing into IoT edge devices or prototypes.
The module replaces single-element thermopile or basic IR sensors that only return one temperature reading. The jump is worth it when an application needs a full thermal image or video stream for motion detection, area monitoring or spatial temperature mapping rather than a spot measurement.
A shutterless microbolometer-thermopile hybrid design allows continuous operation without the periodic calibration pauses that interrupt framed output on shuttered cores. The camera delivers up to 25 FPS thermal video and maintains a noise equivalent temperature difference of 150 mK RMS at 1 Hz refresh during extended capture sessions.

The module uses a standard 40PIN GPIO header that aligns with Raspberry Pi 4B and Raspberry Pi Zero boards.
Many users forget to enable the I2C interface in raspi-config before running the Python demo, which stops the 25FPS stream from appearing.
Clean the lens only when visible dust or residue appears; the shutterless design has no moving parts to service, so no periodic calibration is required.
