LORDWORLD
Adds two UART channels and eight GPIOs via I2C, stackable to 16 boards for 32 channels on a Raspberry Pi 40-pin header
This HAT adds two UART channels and eight programmable GPIO lines to any Raspberry Pi board with a 40-pin header. The SC16IS752 bridge communicates over I2C, so no additional GPIO pins are consumed. It targets makers and engineers who need more serial ports for sensors, modems or industrial equipment.
Up to 16 modules can be stacked by configuring the address jumpers, providing a maximum of 32 UART channels from a single Pi. Reserved I2C control pins remain accessible, allowing the stack to coexist with other I2C peripherals. Builders who need more than 32 channels or a different serial protocol will need another solution.
The board draws power from the Pi’s 40-pin header and operates at the host’s logic level, adding minimal load to the supply. Onboard LEDs show transmit and receive activity on each UART channel for quick debugging. No active cooling is required and acoustic noise is absent.

Up to 16 modules can be stacked by setting the address jumper on each board.
The HAT has no active cooling; sustained load relies on the Raspberry Pi’s own heat dissipation.
Any Raspberry Pi series board with the standard 40PIN GPIO extension header will mate directly.
