It targets IT teams running virtualisation clusters, large databases or memory-heavy analytics workloads that need maximum capacity per chassis. Registered buffering and on-die ECC protect data integrity across every channel.

Capacity headroom at 4800 MT/s

Sixteen dual-rank modules fill all slots on supported Thinkmate platforms, delivering 512GB at the standard DDR5 4800 transfer rate with CL40 latency. The kit handles heavy multi-tenant VM consolidation and in-memory datasets comfortably. Workloads that exceed 512GB or require faster transfer rates will need a platform with higher memory bandwidth or additional sockets.

Upgrade path from smaller RDIMM sets

The kit replaces smaller-capacity DDR5 RDIMM populations such as 8×32GB or 16×16GB configurations when the application demands the full 512GB ceiling. The jump is worth it when current memory pressure forces paging or limits VM density. Systems that cannot address 512GB or lack enough DIMM slots will not benefit.
