DDR4 2666 speed and load-reduced limits

The PC4-21300 interface caps throughput at the DDR4 2666 data rate, so bandwidth scales with channel count rather than per-module frequency. Load-reduced buffering adds a clock cycle of latency versus standard RDIMM, which can affect latency-sensitive workloads. Quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation further limits maximum ranks per channel on some platforms.

64 GB single-module capacity headroom

A single 64 GB stick delivers large capacity in one slot, useful for memory-heavy virtualisation or in-memory databases. Four ranks per module consume rank budget quickly, so total system capacity may hit the platform rank limit before all slots are filled. Workloads needing more than the supported rank count per channel will require fewer, higher-density modules or a different platform.
