Orico
Tool-free transparent enclosure holds one M.2 SATA or NVMe SSD up to 2280 length with USB 3.1 Type-C at 10Gbps or 6Gbps
Size M.2 SATA
The Orico TXM2 is a transparent M.2 SSD enclosure that accepts both NVMe and SATA protocol drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors up to 4 TB. Its tool-free sliding cover lets you install or swap a single drive in seconds without screws or drivers. The clear metal shell shows the drive inside while providing a rigid, passively cooled housing. It connects via USB 3.1 Type-C and works natively with Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Android devices.
The all-metal body acts as a heatsink, dissipating drive heat without a fan for completely silent running. An intelligent sleep mode spins the SSD down after ten minutes of inactivity, cutting power draw and reducing wear. An LED indicator shows power and activity status at a glance. UASP and TRIM support keep sustained transfers efficient and help maintain SSD performance over time.
Moving from a USB 3.0 enclosure raises the ceiling to 10 Gbps with NVMe drives and 6 Gbps with SATA drives, cutting large-file transfer times noticeably. The jump is worth it when you regularly move multi-gigabyte projects, back up system images or run portable apps directly from the drive. It will not help if your host port is limited to USB 3.0 or if you only need occasional access to small documents.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Slide the drive into the M-key or B+M-key slot at an angle, press it down until it clicks into the internal latch, then snap the transparent cover shut — no screws or tools required.
The controller supports UASP and TRIM; enable TRIM in your OS so the drive can reclaim unused blocks, and keep the enclosure firmware updated if Orico releases a new version.
The metal body acts as a heatsink, but under continuous heavy writes the SSD itself will hit its thermal limit first and throttle — the enclosure has no active cooling to prevent this.
