128GB kit of two 64GB DDR4 2933 ECC registered RDIMMs validated for HP ProLiant XL270d Gen10 servers
Capacity 128GB (2 x 64GB)
This kit provides 128GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory in a matched pair of 64GB modules. It is built for the HP ProLiant XL270d Gen10 and suits workloads that demand data integrity such as virtualization, databases or large file caches. Standard desktop systems cannot use registered DIMMs and will not accept this upgrade.
Each module is a 288-pin RDIMM running at DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400) with CL21 latency and 1.2V operation. The 2Rx4 rank layout and registered buffer are required by the ProLiant memory controller; mixing with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs is not supported. The kit also runs at 2133, 2400 and 2666MHz if the platform dictates a lower speed.
The modules have no heat spreader and rely on the server's directed airflow for cooling. At 1.2V the power draw per DIMM is low, keeping thermal contribution minimal inside a properly ventilated chassis. Acoustic impact is negligible because no active cooling is present on the memory itself.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The modules will run at up to 2933 MT/s if the platform supports that speed; otherwise they operate at the highest speed the system allows, down to 2133 MT/s.
PC4-23400 is the JEDEC standard name for DDR4-2933; the memory bus cannot exceed 2933 MT/s with these DIMMs.
They require standard 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM sockets; the modules have no heat spreader, so they fit in tight server DIMM channels.
