OWC
A 128GB kit of four 32GB DDR5 4800 ECC registered RDIMMs for PowerEdge R760xa, R860 and R960 servers
Capacity 128GB (4 x 32GB)
This OWC kit supplies 128GB of DDR5 ECC Registered RDIMM across four 32GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerEdge R760xa, R860 and R960 servers that require registered memory with error correction.
Each module runs at 1.1V and carries no heat spreader, relying on the server’s directed airflow for cooling. The registered buffer adds minimal latency while keeping signal integrity stable under sustained load.
The kit replaces Dell part numbers AC239378 and SNPW08W9C/32G but will not work in standard desktops or systems that use unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs. Mixing with those memory types is not supported.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Power down the server, open the chassis, align each module's notch with the slot key, press firmly until the ejector tabs click, then verify in BIOS that all 128GB are recognised at 4800 MT/s; the step often missed is confirming the registered ECC mode is enabled.
No routine maintenance is required; if a module fails, replace the individual 32GB stick with an identical DDR5 4800 CL40 2Rx8 registered part to keep ECC integrity across all four channels.
The CAS latency of CL40 at 4800 MT/s sets the timing boundary; sustained throughput is capped by the JEDEC-standard 38400 MB/s per module before any thermal or voltage throttling occurs.
