OWC
16 GB DDR3L 1600 ECC registered kit for Supermicro SuperServer 4047R, 4048B, 5017GR, 5017R and 5027R systems
Capacity 16GB (2 x 8GB)
This OWC kit supplies 16GB of DDR3L ECC registered memory in two 8GB modules. It is built for Supermicro SuperServer 4047R, 4048B, 5017GR, 5017R and 5027R systems that require registered DIMMs. Standard desktop boards cannot use this memory and it must not be mixed with unbuffered modules.
The modules run at DDR3L 1600 with a CAS latency of 11 and a low 1.35V supply. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, helping stability during long server workloads. ECC protection corrects single-bit errors that can accumulate under continuous use.
The 240-pin DDR3L form factor fits only slots keyed for DDR3L registered DIMMs. Maximum throughput is defined by the PC3L-12800 specification at 1600MHz. Systems that need higher bandwidth or a different pin layout will not accept these modules.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The modules operate at 1.35V, which is lower than standard DDR3, reducing heat output and power draw during continuous operation in compatible Supermicro SuperServer systems.
The board must accept 240-pin DDR3L ECC registered DIMMs at 1600MHz CL11, 1.35V, and 1Rx4 organisation; it will not work with unbuffered or non-ECC slots.
Yes, this kit replaces Supermicro part numbers MEMDR380LHL07ER16, MEMDR380LSL10ER16, MEMDR380LSL14ER16 and MEMDR380LSV04ER16, so it matches the registered ECC specification required for mixing.
