OWC
64GB dual-channel DDR4-2666 ECC registered RDIMM kit for Synology ActiveProtect DP7200 and DP7400
Capacity 64GB (2 x 32GB)
This OWC kit provides 64GB of DDR4 memory in two 32GB registered DIMMs. Each module uses a 288-pin layout and runs at 1.2V with a CL19 latency rating. The 2Rx4 organisation and ECC registered design target server and workstation platforms.
The modules are validated for Synology ActiveProtect DP7200 and DP7400 appliances. They also operate in systems rated for 2133MHz or 2400MHz DDR4. Standard desktop computers cannot use registered ECC memory, and mixing these sticks with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs is not supported.
The registered ECC attribute is the single factor that decides compatibility. Only platforms designed for registered DDR4 ECC RDIMMs will accept this kit; consumer motherboards and unbuffered server boards will not.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Yes, the 288-pin DDR4 2666 registered DIMM is built to the JEDEC standard for those models and installs directly into their RDIMM slots.
Power off the unit, open the chassis, align each module's notch with the slot key, press firmly until both side clips click, then power on and verify 64 GB in the Synology DSM memory report.
Replace them if DSM reports correctable ECC errors that climb over time, if the system fails memory self-test at boot, or after a confirmed DIMM fault in the hardware log.
