It ships fully assembled and tested with four 12 TB Synology Plus drives installed, delivering 48 TB of raw capacity in a 4-bay chassis. An AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor running at 2.2 GHz and 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory handle file services and applications.

Connectivity and expansion for growing networks

Four integrated 1 GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. A factory-installed 2-port 25 GbE SFP28 adapter occupies the PCIe Gen3 expansion slot, providing high-speed uplinks without consuming additional bays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow direct attachment of external storage or backup targets. The four drive bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, and memory can be expanded to 32 GB when workloads demand more headroom.

Sustained throughput under continuous workloads

Under Synology test conditions the system delivers more than 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write, figures that reflect sustained operation rather than short bursts.
