The Tripp Lite SmartPro SMART1500RMXLN delivers 1440VA and 1440W of sine-wave battery backup in a 2U rackmount chassis. It provides eight NEMA 5-15R outlets and includes a pre-installed network management card for remote monitoring. Automatic voltage regulation corrects input fluctuations between 80V and 151V without using battery power.
This model replaces basic standby UPS units that cannot correct voltage without draining the battery. The jump is worth it when connected equipment requires pure sine-wave output or when extended runtime at half load is needed. At 720W load the internal VRLA batteries provide 15.1 minutes of backup, while full 1440W load yields 5.1 minutes.
The unit mounts in a standard 2U rack space measuring 3.45 inches high, 17.20 inches wide and 17.60 inches deep. Communication ports include USB, DB9 serial, contact closure and an emergency power off connector alongside the factory-fitted network card. Recharge from 10% to 90% takes less than 4.5 hours after a full-load discharge.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The unit measures 17.60 inches deep, so a rack or shelf with at least that usable depth plus cable clearance is needed.
Plug an Ethernet cable into the card's RJ45 port, then configure the IP address through the front-panel LCD or the USB HID interface.
Expect replacement after 3 to 5 years; the LCD will show a battery fault and run time will drop well below the 5.1-minute full-load rating.
