This OWC kit delivers 256GB across two 128GB DDR4 3200MHz LRDIMMs. The modules implement ECC load-reduced technology with a 4Rx4 rank structure and CL22 latency. They are built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered memory and cannot accept standard unbuffered DIMMs.

Low-voltage operation at 1.2V reduces thermal load

Running at 1.2V, the modules draw less power per gigabyte than higher-voltage alternatives. The load-reduced buffer lowers electrical loading on the memory bus, which helps maintain signal integrity without adding active cooling requirements. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the PCB handles dissipation in typical chassis designs.

Dual-channel kit fits 288-pin DDR4 slots

Each module uses the standard 288-pin DDR4 form factor and is backward compatible with 2133MHz, 2400MHz, 2666MHz and 2933MHz bus speeds. The kit cannot be mixed with unbuffered memory and will not work in desktop consumer platforms that lack LRDIMM support. It frees DIMM slots by concentrating 128GB per module, leaving room for further expansion where the platform allows.
